MAYSVILLE – Boyd Michael Jordan, 65, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010.
Born on February 18, 1945, in Commerce, he was the son of Mildred Doss Jordan of Maysville and the late Erastus Jordan. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and was of the Baptist denomination. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Pat Hall.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Barbara Cole Jordan, Maysville; sisters and brother-in-law, Polly and Hillyer Godfrey, and Melodee Hall, all of Maysville; nephews, Keith and Kyle Hall; nieces, Michelle Madden, Marie Godfrey; a very special grand-nephew and grand-niece, Patrick Madden and Ariel Hall; and a very special relative, Carson Legg.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 10, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Randolph Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Oconee Baptist Church Cemetery. Danny Anderson, Nolan Pritchett, Tyler Lee, Randy Doss, Shane Pritchett, Jeff Lee, James Lyle and Robin Jordan will be honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held Thursday, December 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
