Florene Fulghum, 71, of Toccoa, died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Stephens County Medical Center, following an extended illness.
Born in Banks County on November 29, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Owen and Dicy Lawrence Gibson. She was a homemaker and was Baptist. Mrs. Fulghum was preceded in death by a brother, Travis Gibson; sisters, Mildred Gibson and Edith Watkins.
Survivors include a daughter, Melodie Daniel, Clarkesville; sister, Marilyn Spurlock, Toccoa; brothers, Roy Gibson, Toccoa, and Fred Gibson, Homer; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 2, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Getes Owens officiating. Burial was in Demorest City Cemetery.
McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, was in charge of arrangements.
