BRASELTON – Harold W. Bennett, 79, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010.
Born on March 11, 1931, in Cornelia, he was the son of the late L.L. Bennett and Corrine Phillips Bennett. He was a member of Walnut Fork Baptist Church and was a retired pipefitter from National Automatic Local #669 in 1986. After retirement, he pursued his love in Model A Fords and was a member of the Model A Ford Restorers Club. Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Platt.
Survivors include his wife, June Smith Bennett, Braselton; daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Steve Stewart, Braselton, Martha and Greg Baker, Jefferson; sisters, Esther Clemmons, Chattanooga, Tenn., Carolyn Veal, Flowery Branch; brother, Jimmy Green, Gainesville; grandchildren, Heather Behles, Gregory Stewart, John Dickson III, Lauren Dickson, Callie Dickson; great-grandchild, Natalie Behles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Coble officiating. Burial will be in Evans Memory Gardens with Greg Stewart, John Dickson, Rick Myers, Bob Myers, Luke Myers, Hugh Myers, Gene Poss and Eric Linderman honored as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

I will surely miss you Mr.Bennett!! my heart goes out the family .. I took care of him at southern pines . may you rest in peace.... southern girl!!!
