Elizabeth Shepherd of Atlanta died at home Thursday, October 18, 2010, at the age of 97.
She was born in Maysville to John and Lizzie Shepherd. She graduated from the University of Georgia. She taught school and later worked for the Federal government. After graduating from Atlanta Law School in 1949, she worked as an attorney for the Federal National Mortgage Association until her retirement. Mrs. Shepherd was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Rosalind Shepherd.
She is survived by her brother, John Shepherd, of Salem, Ore.; and her two nieces and two nephews.
She was buried in Sunrise Cemetery, Maysville, GA at a private family funeral.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce was in charge of arrangements.
