Anita Higginbotham

CORNELIA - Anita Caudell Higginbotham, 76, died on Friday, November 19, 2010.

Born on August 6, 1934, in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Hershel and Margie Mealor Caudell. Mrs. Higginbotham was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Higginbotham. She was a member at First Baptist Church of Cornelia, having served as a nursery worker in her church for a number of years and was a retired employee of Community Bank and Trust with 25 years of service.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Randy Cantrell, Elaine and Joe Kenyon, all of Cornelia, and Lisa and Pete Watts, Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Nancy Higginbotham, Turnerville, and David and Karen Higginbotham, Watkinsville; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Rhonda Caudell, Toccoa; seven grandchildren, Amber Higginbotham, Amanda Cantrell Mitchell, Ashley Kenyon, Haley Watts, Cari Watts, Caitlyn Higginbotham and Joseph Higginbotham; and one great-grandchild, Adalyn Grace Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, November 21, from Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Gary Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, November 20, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel.
