COMER – Wilma Blondean Satterfield Casey, 66, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
Born in Dahlonega on March 24, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Lillie Mae Lance Satterfield. She was a retired seamstress and was of the Baptist denomination. Mrs. Casey was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Nathan Casey.
Survivors include son, Sam Hill Jr., Comer; daughter, Jimmie Moss, Comer; brothers, Marcus Satterfield, Ellijay, Charles Satterfield, Gainesville, and James Satterfield, Dahlonega; sisters, Brenda Putnam, Canton, Barbara McDonald and Montine Clark, both of Gainesville, Beverly Cowart, Helen, and Vernell Davis, Dahlonega; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 13, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Reggie Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends, Friday, November 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family is at the home of Jimmie and Steven Moss, 1159 Winn’s Lake Road, Comer.
