Bob Smith

JEFFERSON – Elvie “Bob” Smith Jr., 65, died Tuesday, November 9, 2010.

Born on December 21, 1944, in Talladega, Ala., he was the son of Gladys Andrews Smith of Moultrie and the late Elvie Smith Sr. He was an owner/operator for Atlas Van Lines. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Smith.

Survivors including his mother are daughters and sons-in-law, Sherrill and Rhett Godfrey and Sandra and Steven Caldwell, all of Jefferson; sons and daughter-in-law, James and Jennifer Eubanks, Tucker, and Jimmy Smith, Tifton; sisters, Louise Cooper, Meigs, Wynette Willis, Thomasville; brothers, Delane Smith, Moultrie, William Smith, Albany and Jerome Roberts, Thomasville; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 12, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Evans Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, November 11, from 5 to 8 p.m.
