JEFFERSON – Betty Gipson Atkinson, 70, died Friday, November 5, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospice House.
Born in Commerce, she was the daughter of late Earl and Viola Garrison Gipson. She was a cashier at Bell’s and was of the Baptist denomination. Mrs. Atkinson was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Atkinson.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Kim Crane, Homer, Dean and Vickie Crane, Panama City, Fla., and Mark and Jean Crane, Maysville; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Mickey Bryant, Jefferson; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces, Martha Brown and Susan Archer.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 7, at 3 p.m., from the Beaverdam Baptist Church with the Revs. Kevin Page and Charles Crabbe officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Casey Crane, Ryan Crane, Zack Bryant, Daniel Farmer, Shane Sapp and Sonny Crawford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, November 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
