COMMERCE – Karen Darnell Kines, 59, died Thursday, November 4, at St. Marys Hospice House in Bogart.
Born in Commerce, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Biard and Ina Crane Craig.
Survivors include children, Sheila Diane Samples, Statham, and Audrey Michelle Darnell, Commerce; grandchildren, Terry Samples, Taylor Samples and Whitney Meade; great-grandson, Conway Preston Meade; step-children, Michael Darnell, Commerce, and Marilyn Strand, California; step-grandchildren, Nathan Darnell, Toni Kimbrell, Shane McMurty and Jennifer Martin; half-sisters, Peggy Anderson and Treull Wade; and former husband, Aubrey Darnell.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 7, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Revs. Donald Wilson and Vivian Darnell officiating. Burial will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, November 6, from 5 to 8 p.m.
