HULL – Herbert John Bennett, 77, died Monday, November 1, 2010, at Comer Nursing Home.
Born in Canada, he was the son of the late John and Eliza Jane Willis Bennett. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church where he was an active member of the Men’s Brotherhood. He retired from the University of Georgia from the maintenance department and security.
Survivors include his wife, Lou Ann Carter Bennett; stepdaughter, Donna Doolittle, Colbert; and grandchildren, Tiffany Nadeau and Brandon Doolittle.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 4, at 2 p.m., from Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, November 3, from 6 to 8 p.m.
