COMMERCE – Hubert “Bud” James, 80, died Sunday, October 31, 2010, at BJC Medical Center.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Harvey and Martha Woodall James. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was retired from Jefferson City Schools.
Survivors include his wife, Frances James, Commerce; son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Maria James, Destin, Fla.; sister, Pauline Ledford, Hoschton; and a granddaughter, Melody James Hanlon, Los Angeles, Calif.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 2, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Derry Oliver and Swayne Cochran officiating. Burial will be at Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, November 1, from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Missions Committee, P.O. Box 37, Commerce, GA 30529. This committee handles outreach and benevolence needs.
