STATHAM – Myrtle Lean Thurmond, 87, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010.
Born in White County, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Maggie D. Moore. She was employed by Barrow Manufacturing for 42 years.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ernest “Pete” and Charlene Thurmond, Jefferson; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nell Payne, Bogart.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 29, at 2 p.m., from Smith Memory Chapel with Pastor Mark Mobley officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 28, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
