COMER – Geneva Mae Wynn Shelton, 83, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Crawford (Croff) and Prudance Azalee Strickland Wynn. Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by brothers, Klein, Henry and Raymond Wynn; and sisters, Ruby Sue Holman and Mary Frances Smay.
She was a pastor’s wife, homemaker and sewing machine operator in garment manufacturing. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Comer in Comer.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Henry David Shelton, Comer; children, David (Mary) Shelton, Statham, Steve (Lynn) Shelton, Watkinsville, Serena Baugh, Comer, Rev. Eric Shelton and his wife Betty Shelton, Jefferson; a sister, Edna Lucy Lance, Hull; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 29, at 2 p.m., from the Full Gospel Church of Comer with the Revs. Eric Shelton and Lee Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
