SNELLVILLE – Hoyt C. Parham, 73, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010.
Born on July 23, 1937, in Madison County, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Parham. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Snellville and the Joy Sunday School Class. He graduated from Comer High School and the apprentice program of the Atlanta Plumbers Local Union No. 72 with whom he worked for over 40 years. He was an ordained deacon from First Baptist Church of Comer and was a past deacon of First Baptist Church of Snellville. He was a previous Lions Club Member and Councilman for the City of Comer.
Mr. Parham loved to be involved in athletics and accomplished many honors and leadership roles. He also loved flying airplanes. He loved his home and family and participating in their activities.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Fleming Parham, Snellville; children, Mark Parham and his wife Susan, Bethlehem, Roger Parham and his wife Kelly, Dacula; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 28, at 11 a.m., from the Snellville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral home with the Revs. Guy Priester, Jeff Parmer and Don Pennington officiating. Burial will be Thursday, October 28, at 2 p.m., at Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery in Comer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, October 27, from 6 to 9 p.m.
