WINDER – Ralph Phillips, 80, died Monday, October 25, 2010.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Frank and Susie Garrett Phillips. He was a member of White Plains Baptist Church and was a retired transportation worker with the Georgia Department of Transportation. Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Brewer Phillips.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Dianne Phillips and Gail and David Shedd, all of Winder; grandchildren, Holly Shedd and Justin Shedd; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, Kelsie and Grayson Shedd; brothers, Melp Phillips and Jimmy Phillips, both of Winder, and Sam Phillips, Jefferson; and sisters, Nick Shannon and Edith Gaillard, both of Jefferson, and Brenda Lott, Braselton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 27, at 3 p.m., from Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. Greg Moore and Joel Shadburn officiating. Burial will be in White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery in Jefferson. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.

i know the pain of loosing a brother or sister even a dad.but all i could ever do was to ask jesus to help me.he will help you to.my heart goes out to his loved ones.
