COMMERCE – Minnie Lou Carroll, 80, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Jackson County she was the daughter of the late Paul and Minnie Mae Gee Slater. She was a member of Little Country Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Carroll.
Survivors include a daughter, Rachel Dickerson, Commerce; sons, Donald and Steve Carroll, both of Commerce; brothers, Willie, Clifford and Johnny Slater, all of Commerce; sisters, Dorothy Kitchens, Hull, Gertrude McDaniel and Barbara McEver, both of Commerce; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 21, at 2 p.m., from Little Country Church with the Revs. Charles Elrod and Wendell Hanley officiating. Burial will be at Grey Hill Cemetery.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
