Arthur Reese

HULL – Arthur Glenn (AG) Reese, 88, died Sunday, October 17, 2010.

Born in Newport, Tenn., he was the son of the late John and Pheby Holt Reese. He was self-employed as a painter and was a member of the Gordon’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Reese was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mary Helen Smith Reese.

Survivors include a son, R. Glenn Reese (Kennedy), Kennesaw; daughter, Alice R. Chandler (Wesley), Ila; sister, Evelyn Reese, Newport, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jason and Joshua Chandler and Hunter and Jaryd Reese; great-granddaughter, Aurie Chandler; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, October 19, at 7 p.m., from Lord & Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Peek officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gordon’s Chapel Methodist Building Fund or to Cobb Healthcare Nursing Home in Comer.
