COMMERCE – Judge Jerry Clinton Gray, 58, died Friday, October 8, 2010, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Ernest Herbert Ladd and Emma Louise Jett Gray. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Commerce. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Georgia and his Juris Doctor Degree from Atlanta Law School. Judge Gray was a State Court Judge for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Debra S. Gray, Commerce; sons, Sidney Scott Gray and Timothy Daren Gray, both of Commerce; a daughter, Jerri Camille Gray, Commerce; brothers, E.H. Ladd Gray III, Mansfield, and James C. Gray, Cookeville, Tenn.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 10, from the First United Methodist Church of Commerce with David Bowen officiating. Burial was in Cabin Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
