JEFFERSON – Burnie “Jenny” Jeanette Johnston, 67, died Thursday, October 7, 2010.
She was the daughter of Meda Phyllis Chambers of Grandberry, Texas. She loved to read and was of the Christian faith. Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Joseph Johnston; and brothers, Ralph Kincaid and Chester Kincaid.
Survivors in addition to her mother include daughters, Sonya D. Bishop, Jefferson, Kathy J. Brown, Atlanta; a son, James A. Sweatman, Atlanta; sisters, Peggy B. Pearson and her husband Lester, Jefferson, Juanita Thomas and husband, Troy, Grandberry, Texas, Bea Childs and husband Wayne, Brownwood, Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Monday, October 11, from Galilee Christian Church with Minister Tom Plank officiating. Burial was in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park.
Lawson Funeral Home, Hoschton, was in charge of arrangements.
