Lilia Jeraldine “Jerrie” Gravitt, 67, of Carnesville, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Emory University Hospital, following an extended illness.
Born in Orange County, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Lila Pearl Stripling Taylor, and had resided in Carnesville for the past eight years. Prior to moving to Carnesville, she lived in Barrow County for 28 years.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin B. Gravitt, Carnesville; children and spouses, Regina and Charlie Deaton, Auburn, Donna and Michael DeLoach, Maysville, Kenneth and Tammie Gravitt, Winder; grandchildren, Dustin and Kelly Deaton, Winder, Andrew Deaton, Auburn, Shane and Stephen Gravitt, Winder, Megan and Matthew DeLoach, Maysville; great-granddaughter, Anna Lynn Deaton, Winder.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 31, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Ray Fumea, Minister, officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 30, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Peachtree Memorial Park in Norcross.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
