Jerry Walden

Jerry L. Walden, 63, of Jefferson, died Saturday, July 26, 2008.

Born in Monroe, he was the son of the late Luther S. and Frances Glass Walden. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army for nine years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his companion, Ruth Jacks, Jefferson; her children, Dianne Quinn, Loganville, Debbie Payne, Jefferson, and Steve Jacks, Newnan; son, Jeremy Walden, Monroe; brother, Larry Walden, Oxford; sisters, Rene Larson and Brenda Milligan, both of Monroe.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 28, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Jace Milligan officiating. Burial was in Evans Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Faron Bramblett, Darrell Glass, Jeff Lemonds, Justin Lemonds, Caleb Milligan and Kent Lemonds.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
