COMMERCE – Betty Purcell, 75, died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at her residence.
Born in Hall County, she was the daughter of the late Howard Parks and Edna Bell Boring. She was employed as a nurse.
Survivors include her husband, Garnett Purcell, Commerce; sons, Alan Purcell, Commerce and Jeff Purcell, Birmingham, Ala.; sister, Barbara Ervin, Commerce; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 5 at New Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Youngblood officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 to 11 a.m., on Tuesday.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
