WINTERVILLE – Minta “Clint” Wiley, 55, died peacefully with her family surrounding her Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
A native of Athens, she was the daughter of the late Velma Jean Payne. She had worked at the Golden Pantry in Winterville for 10 years.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne “Bodie” Wiley; daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Dale Abercrombie, Royston, Tina and Kevin Gabriel, Winterville, and Joannie and Sammy Treadwell, Danielsville; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Elaine Payne, Colbert; sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Wayne Fields, Lexington; grandchildren, Brittany Smith, Dakota Johnson, Lindsey Johnson, Christopher Gabriel, Bryson Gabriel, Danielle Treadwell, Jade Treadwell, Kellie Minish and Codie Abercrombie; and great-grandchildren, Ally Cowart, Landon Smith and Adeyn Minish.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 2, at 1 p.m., from Lord & Stephens East Chapel with the Rev. Robert Garrett officiating. Burial will be at Winterville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sammy Treadwell, Jeremy Payne, Michael Paige, Bubba Clark, Billy Wiley and Marty Booker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, October 1, from 7 to 9 p.m.
