‘Ed’ Shelton

DANIELSVILLE – James “Ed” Shelton, 46, died Thursday, September 23, 2010, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

A native of Athens, he was the son of Alma Jean Walls Shelton of Danielsville and the late Clarence L. Shelton. He enjoyed throwing darts and woodworking.

Survivors in addition to his mother include children, Hunter Cowart, Diamond Hill, Halee Nicole Shelton, Danielsville; a brother, Mike (Joy) Shelton, Winterville; maternal grandmother, Mildred Ashworth, Hull; special friend, Connie Kirk, Danielsville; and an aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews; and Callie.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 26, at 2 p.m., at Colbert Cemetery with the Rev. Tac Coley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, September 25, from 6 to 8 p.m.
