HOMER – Jimmie Adelee Ray, 89, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Hill Haven Nursing Home.
Born in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Morgan and Carrie Jordan Pritchett. She was a member of Gillsville Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Ray; a son, Leon Ray; daughter, Joyce Boswell; brother, Branson Pritchett; and sisters, Marie Baughcum, Syble Kimsey and Omagene Pritchett.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane Hardman, Homer; brother, Frank Pritchett, Smyrna; sisters, Elizabeth Oakes, Lula, and Carenna Bonds, Demorest; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 23, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Bill Calhoun and Lamar Purcell officiating. Burial will be in Banks Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, September 22, from 4 to 9 p.m.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
