PENDERGRASS – Leonard Raymond Carver, 67, died Saturday, September 18, 2010, at his residence.
Born in Clinton, Ind., on December 14, 1942, he was the son of the late John Ampsey and Elsie Cauffman Carver. He was the owner of Southern Custom Painting and was a member of Tabernacle of the Lord. Mr. Carver was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Carver; brother, Gerald Carver; and sisters, Laura Burkhart and Crescentia Carver.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Carver; daughters, Yvonne Smith, Acworth, and Christy Flowers, Pendergrass; sons, Leonard “Lenny” Carver, Pendergrass, Jason Carver, Atlanta, and Jeremy Carver, Bethlehem; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Carol Hudson, Conyers, and Lucille Proffer, Athens.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 22, at 2 p.m., at the Tabernacle of the Lord, Townville, S.C., conducted by the Rev. Luke Gibson. Burial will be at Heritage Memorial Gardens in Westminster, S.C. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, September 21, from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tabernacle of the Lord, 12950 West Oak Hwy., Townville, S.C. 29689.
