COMMERCE – Geraldine White Toney, 93, died Saturday, September 18, 2010, at BJC Nursing Home.
Born in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Texie Thomas White. She was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church and was employed at Harmony Grove Mills. Mrs. Toney was preceded in death by her husband, D.C. Toney.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Jimmie and Billy Ray Sanders and Jerri and Runt Smith, all of Commerce; a son, Danny and Eva Toney, Maysville; sister, Sarah Ann Daniels, Commerce; brother, Bootsy White, Commerce; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 20, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. David Harbin and Charles Crabbe officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Madison Street Baptist Church Renovation Fund, 188 Madison St., Commerce, GA 30529.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
