Jeanette Brown

COMMERCE – Jeanette Standridge Brown, 85, died Thursday, September 16, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospice House.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Lillie Howington Standridge.

Survivors include her husband, H.L. “Buck” Brown, Commerce; children, Barbara Brown Scales, Homer, Betty Brown Rogers, Franklin, Tenn., Shirley Brown McClure and Randy Lee Brown, both of Commerce, Keisha Fambro, Savannah; sisters, Ramona Cowart, Atlanta, and Ellen Beauchamp, Harrison, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 18, at 3 p.m., from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Revs. Terry Smith and Dennis Kesler officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, September 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times at 157 Milwood Drive in Commerce.
