Matthew (Matt) Edward McDonald (Nation), 20, of Homer, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at his residence.
He was born in Jackson County, a son of Katherine Nation, Homer, and Timothy L. McDonald, Sr., Commerce. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Wilder White.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his step-father, Dennis Nation, Homer; step-mother, Carol McDonald, Commerce, brother, Timothy L. McDonald, Jr., Commerce; step-brother, Brandon Caudle, Commerce; grandparents, Leon White, and Edward J. and Ella M. McDonald; and several cousins.
Graveside services were held on Friday, July 25, 2008, at Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson, with the Rev. Danny Green officiating.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

Kathy I want to send my sincere condolances to you and all the family involved. I am sorry to hear about this after the fact. We found out that my son and your son are related through the McDonald's. Give me a call sometime.
