Thelma Henson Dunn died Friday, September 10, 2010, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Born February 19, 1924, in Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Hughes and Bonnie Rogers Henson. She lived in Moultrie many years when her husband, the late Teddy Dunn, was a flight instructor at Spence Field. Then, after living in Saudi Arabia for 12 years, they retired to Lake Seminole. She has resided in Macon since 2000 at John Wesley Villas. She loved living there and her family appreciates the loving care she received while she was a resident. Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by brothers, Harold J. Henson, Hugh F. Henson and William J. Henson.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Dunn Phillips, Milledgeville, and Beverly Guthrie and husband Pete, Jefferson; a son, Buster Dunn and wife Peggy, Moultrie, five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Lokey, Arnoldsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday, September 13, at the Arnoldsville Cemetery in Oglethorpe County.
Memorials may be made to the Cherokee Corner United Methodist Church, Arnoldsville, or the charity of choice.
Moores Funeral Home of Milledgeville was in charge of arrangements.
