WINDER – Glen Aaron Cain, 80, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010.
He was a 1948 graduate of Tucker High School, served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps., was a member of the Sweetwater Masonic Lodge #421 F&AM and had worked for 25 years with W.T. Mayfield Trucking Company as a heavy equipment hauler. He later worked for Northeast Georgia Hardware.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Cornelia Hayes Cain; sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Alecia Cain, Bogart, and Ricky and Julie Carter, Statham; daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Tim Carithers, Watkinsville, Monica and Greg Allen, Monroe, and Connie Rabun, South Carolina; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held Friday, September 3, at 11 a.m., from the Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with the Revs. Austin Kelly and Sonya Richey officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Hoschton.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration.
