Doris Gunnells

DANIELSVILLE - Doris B. Gunnells, 85, died Monday August 30, 2010 at BJC Medical Center in Commerce.

She was born in Brinson, the daughter of the late Louie and Audrey Barnes Brogdon. She was retired from Coats and Clark where she was a proofreader. Mrs. Gunnells was a member of the Bold Spring United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Leland H. Gunnells, Jr., Danielsville; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Ligon O’Kelley, Winterville; stepson and daughter-in-law, Dan and Shaprelle Gunnells, Danielsville; grandchildren, Khristopher, Todd and Tony; brothers, James, C.L., Thomas and Charles Brogdon; and sisters, Gladys Anderson and Thelma Hudson.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 1, at 11 a.m. from the Bold Spring United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jordan Thrasher officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bold Spring United Methodist Church, 3883 Bold Springs Rd., Carnesville, GA 30521.

Little-Ward Funeral Home Commerce, GA is in charge of arrangements.
