CLEVELAND – James Howard Dobbs, 60, died Wednesday, August 25, 1010, at his residence following a brief illness.

Born on November 26, 1949, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Berlin and Mary Frances Dobbs. Mr. Dobbs was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin Dobbs.

Survivors include his wife, Dale Dobbs, Cleveland; sons, Brad Dobbs, Cleveland, Brian Dobbs, Clarkesville; daughter, Sherry Ward, Commerce; sisters, Elaine James, Athens, Wanda Loggins, Ila; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 28, from the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Revs. Tom Eterlee and Paul Flynn officiating. Burial was in Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

Barrett Funeral Home, Cleveland, was in charge of arrangements.

Dale and Children, I was so sorry to hear about the passing of James. In thinking of him I remember the good times we had visiting with James and Dale when our children were small. Bob loved staying with them as much as he could in the summer months. He was always welcome at the Dobb's home. When I think about you all I smile, because there were so many good times with all of you. I will keep you all in my prayers and in my heart.
