Lois Sims

DECATUR - Lois Nell Sims, 86, died Thursday, August 26, 2010.

Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late W.B. and Arlene Walker Bramlett. Mrs. Sims was a member of Avondale First Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Sims, Sr.; and a sister Runette Cronic.

Survivors include children, Clay Sims, Jr., Roswell, Melinda Spengler, Loganville, Alan Sims, Monroe, and Grace O’Neal, Atlanta; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, D.B. Bramlett, Suches, Leon Bramlett, Rayford Bramlett and Raymond Bramlett, all of Auburn.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 28, from Bethabra Baptist Church, with the Rev. Landon Frymire officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
