DANIELSVILLE – Harry Paul Compton, 56, died Thursday, August 26, 2010.
Born in Athens, he was the son of the late Howell N. and Margie Brady Compton. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Apostolic Church and was self-employed in the construction industry. Mr. Compton was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Compton.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Daniel Compton; a brother, Christopher Compton, Woodstock; aunts, Gail Chafin, and Kathleen Brooks, both of Danielsville.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 29, at 3 p.m., from the Mt. Pleasant Apostolic Church with the Rev. Chuck Tatum officiating. Burial will be at Crawford Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Gordon, Eddie Savage, Chuck Anthony, Thomas Daniell, Dana Roach and Melvin Worley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, August 28, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
