Agnes Davidson

JEFFERSON – Agnes Jeanette Sexton Davidson, 79, formerly of Munford, Ala., died Tuesday, August 24, 2010.

Born on August 5, 1931, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Rafe and Ruth Mote Sexton. She was a seamstress and a member of the Munford First Baptist Church in Munford, Ala. Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Reynolds; and brother-in-law, Dean Reynolds.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy Davidson, Jefferson; daughter and son-in-law, Lawanna and Ronnie Laird, Jefferson; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Vicki Davidson, Braselton; grandsons, Joseph and Adam Laird; granddaughters, Alicia, Sabrina, and Abby Davidson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Guyrene Sexton, Billy and Helen Sexton, all of Gainesville, and Jimmy and Linda Sexton, Jefferson.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 26, at 7 p.m., from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Sexton officiating. The visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home.

A memorial service was also be held Sunday, August 29, at 3 p.m. CT, in the Munford First Baptist Church in Munford, Ala. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
