LULA – Eunice Mae Sisk Cotton, 86, died Sunday, August 22, 2010, at the residence of her daughter following an extended illness.
Born in Banks County on May 14, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Henry L. and Minnie Moss Sisk. She was retired from the Cobb County School System and was of the Baptist denomination. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, sewing and spending time with her grandkids. Mrs. Cotton was preceded in death by her husband, E.B. Cotton; a son, Pat Cotton; brothers, Mac Sisk, Ted Sisk, Layman Sisk, Auburn Sisk and Bill Sisk.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred and Randy Dickerson, Cumming, Vicki and Larry Davis, Taylorsville, Toni and Tony Spears, Roanoke, Texas; sons and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Colleen Cotton, Porterville, Calif., Jolly Cotton, Burbank, Calif., Johnny Cotton, Lula; daughter-in-law, Aracely Cotton, Marietta; sister, Blattice English, Homer; brothers, Joe Sisk, Marietta, and Gene Sisk, McCloud, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27, at 12 p.m., from the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral home with Pastor Jimmy Dickerson officiating. Burial will be in the Line Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
