Maggie Vinson

WARNER ROBINS – Maggie I. Vinson, 93, formerly of Jefferson, died Monday, August 23, 2010.

Born on December 8, 1916 in White County, she was the daughter of the late John Riley and Nora Palmer Dorsey. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Vinson and her late husband, Marion E. Vinson, were longtime residents of the Arcade Community.

Survivors include her son, John Phillip Vinson, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Diana Sedell, Haslett, Mich., Christine Reed, Harrah, Okla., and John Phillip Vinson II, Tampa, Fla.; great-grandchildren, April Mayer of U.S. Air Force Azores, Portugal, Christina Urie, Warner Robins and Cameron Sedell, Haslett, Mich.; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 25, at 10 a.m. in the Demorest City Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Shelton officiating.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
