David Carr

WOODSTOCK - David Anthony Carr, 48, died Friday, August 20, 2010.

He was the son of Barbara and stepfather William Stocker of Milledgeville, and the late Jack B. Carr. He was a member of The Winder First Baptist Church. He was a former resident of Barrow County and was a Lieutenant with the Gwinnett County Fire Department. Mr. Carr was born in Munich, Germany, and was an Army Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen Carr, Woodstock; daughters, Amanda Carr, of California, Ashleigh Brook Carr and Morgan Taylor, both of Adel; stepdaughters, Krista Grainger, of Michigan, Kyla Grainger and Alex Grainger-Garrett, both of Woodstock; brothers, Chris Carr, Winder and Danny Carr, Dallas; grandson, Walker Carr, Adel; and grandmother, Mildred Burnette, Milledgeville.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 24, at 10 a.m., from the Winder First Baptist Church with John Talley officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Adel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.
