HULL – Edward Luther Russum, 80, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010.
A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, he was the son of the late Gertrude Irvin and Luther Allen Russum. He was employed with L.H. Leathers for many years, was a member of the National Rifle Association, and the Friendship Baptist Church. Mr. Russum was preceded in death by a brother, William Russum.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Vivian L. Russum; a son, Douglas Russum, Hull; daughter, Glenda (Thomas) Parten, Royston; and granddaughter, Kate Russum.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 20, at 3 p.m., from the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Dillard officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, August 19, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
