COLBERT – Ronnie Lee Sorrow Sr., 54, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
Born in Clarke County on November 14, 1955, he was the son of the late Joe William and Mildred Roberta Alewine Sorrow. He was of the Holiness denomination.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Bales Sorrow, Colbert; sons, Ronnie Sorrow Jr., Danielsville, Clay Chumbler, Colbert, and John Chumbler, Canon; daughters, Renee Maddox, Atlanta, Beth Sorrow, California, and Tasha McIntyre, Rabun County; 18 grandchildren; brothers, Douglas Sorrow, Bowman, Paul Sorrow, Canon, and William Sorrow, Hull; and sisters, Cooter Baxter, Ila, Wilma Cluck, Danielsville, Martha Akins, Colbert, and Vicki Long, Anderson, S.C.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 19, at 3 p.m., from the Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Wills officiating.
The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Wednesday, August 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family is at the home of Mr. Tommy Collins, 416 Collins-Dudley Rd., Danielsville, GA 30633.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
