DANIELSVILLE – Helen Joyce Beard Walls, 77, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Madison County on November 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Ina Watson Beard. She was a bookkeeper and owner and operator of Sam’s Sports Shop and was of the Methodist denomination. Mrs. Walls was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Thomas Walls; and a daughter, Mary Lou Walls.
Survivors include a daughter, Polly Walls Penson, Danielsville; sons, Terry Walls, Danielsville, and Sam Walls, Lynchburg, Va.; and numerous special friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Tim Peek and Billy Frank Carey officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Wednesday, August 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. The family is at the home of Terry Walls, 31 John Beard Rd., Danielsville, GA 30633.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
