Hazel Barnett

NICHOLSON – Hazel Blanche Barnett, 91, died Monday, August 16, 2010, at the BJC Nursing Home.

Born in Nicholson, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mittie Seay Luthi and was a homemaker and member of Nicholson Baptist Church. Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Barnett Sr.; a son Darrell Barnett; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, E.W. Barnett Jr., Nicholson, Billy Barnett, Jefferson, Rogers Barnett and Walter Barnett, both of Nicholson and Larry Barnett, Hull; daughter, Peggy Barnett Whitlock, Knoxville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 18, from the Nicholson Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Smith, Dennis Kesler and Mike Stowers officiating. Burial will follow in the Howington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 17, from 5 to 8 p.m.
