Robert Lee Austin Sr.

COMMERCE – Robert Lee Austin Sr., 73, died Friday, August 13, 2010, at Winder Health Care.

Born in Danielsville, he was the son of the late Wiley A. and Mary Scoggins Austin. He was a retired electrician and a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Austin was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Veal Austin.

Survivors include a son, Robert Lee Austin Jr., Commerce; stepson, David Garrett, Commerce; stepdaughter, Debbie Berryman, Braselton; brothers, William Austin, Maysville, and Melvin Austin, Easley, S.C.; sisters, Minnie Turner, Newry, S.C., and Susie Cobb, Wahalla, S.C.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 16 from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Carlton Peters officiating. Burial was in Rogers Baptist Church Cemetery.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
