DANIELSVILLE – J.C. Hammond, 81, died Saturday, August 14, 2010, at his residence.
Born on October 23, 1928, in Madison County, he was the son of the late William and Bessie Dove Hammond. He was a farmer and was retired having worked with Overhead Doors. He was a member of the Meadow Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Montine House Hammond, Danielsville; a son, Melvin Hammond, Danielsville; and sisters, Aldean Carter, Comer, and Mary Ann Dove, Greenville, S.C.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 16, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Sarna and Dalton Carrington officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel M Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
