Mary Lee Robertson

Mary Lee LaCount Robertson, 88, of Carnesville, formerly of Cornelia, died Sunday, July 27, 2008, at her residence, following a brief illness.

Born in Habersham County on October 12, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Callie Loudermilk Lacount. She was a retired supervisor from Carwood Manufacturing with 50 plus years of dedicated service. She was a loyal member of Level Grove Baptist Church, having been in the choir and Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #480. Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Robertson; sisters, Ruth Fleming, Lizzie Mae Whitworth; twin sister, Vallree Ivey and Jewell LaCount; brothers, Robert, Arthur, Carl, George and Joe LaCount.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Bill Abbs, Carnesville, and Janet Ferguson, Mt. Airy; brother, Johnny LaCount, Clarkesville; sister, Vera King, Cornelia; grandson, Michael Ferguson, Gray; grandchildren and spouses, Mark and Beth Bellamy, Braselton, Leah and Jody Hughes, Baldwin; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Brett Bellamy, Andy and Hannah Ferguson and Cori, Taylor and Addison Hughes.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 29, at Level Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Rice and Brian James officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
