COMMERCE – John Everett “Ebb” Carter, 93, died Monday, August 9, 2010, at Hill Haven Nursing Home.
Born in Commerce, he was the son of the late Seaborn Tillman and Margaret Hassie Watson Carter. He was a member of Webbs Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Roper Pump Company. Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McCoy Carter.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Welborn, Dahlonega; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 11, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Wade Lott officiating. Burial will be in the Webbs Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
