DEWEY ROSE – Delores “Dee” Adams, 72, died Thursday, August 5, 2010.
Born in Wickenburg, Ariz., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Bernice Lister Dozier. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by a son, Mark Adams. She received her nursing degree from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, Phoenix, Ariz., and had worked in hospitals and doctors' offices in both Wickenburg and Kingman, Ariz. She was a member of New Franklin Christian Church, where she was a choir member, and had previously attended Erastus Christian Church. She was a member of Elberton Senior Center.
Survivors include her husband, Mitchell Adams; a son, Bruce (Mary) Adams, Bolder City, Nev.; daughter, Shelley Christenson, Elberton; daughter-in-law, Becky Adams, Wickenburg, Ariz.; sister, Barbara Murray, Elephant Bute, Nev., grandchildren, Jennifer, Justine, Lora and Beth; and a great-grandson, Tanner.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 8, at 3 p.m., from New Franklin Christian Church with the Rev. Carl Beckham officiating. Burial will be at Danielsville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, August 7, from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Franklin Christian Church.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
