HULL – William “Donald” Turner, 80, died Thursday, July 29, 2010.
Born in Danielsville, he was the son of the late George Onnie and Annie Sue Bond Turner. He was retired as an accountant from Jerkins-Lowe Accounting Firm and Lyons Garment Company after 40 years. He was a member of Hull Baptist Church, where he was a member of Logan Sunday School Class and had served as a deacon. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by a son, Greg Turner; and brother, J.H. Turner.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Jones Turner; children, Mark Turner, Colbert, Donna (Tony) Gordon, Danielsville, Phil (Cheryl) Turner, Elgin, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Tyler (Brandy) Ashley, Chuck Turner, Kevin, Kyle and Tori Turner, and Bracken and Brock Turner and Tanner Gordon; one great-grandson, Parker William Ashley.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 31, from the Hull Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Burial was at Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Logan Sunday School Class was honorary pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hull Baptist Church.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
