DANIELSVILLE – Margaret Dean Peeples Fortson, Danielsville, 69, died Friday, July 23, 2010, at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.
Born in Franklin County on March 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ruby Peeples Peeples. She was a seamstress, homemaker and retired from Reliance Electric and was a member of the New Hope Worship Center. Mrs. Fortson was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Peeples; and sister, Jeanette Adams.
Survivors include her husband, Talmadge Fortson, Danielsville; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Lamar Dalton, Danielsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Janet Fortson, Danielsville, and Robert and Courtney Fortson, Statham; grandchildren, Gabe Dalton, Lindsey Dalton, Macy Dalton, Bristol Fortson, Anna Fortson and Katlyn Stewart; brothers, Joel Peeples, Canon, Don Peeples, Vanna; sisters, June Brooks, Tammy Fitzpatrick and Betty Baskins, all of Danielsville, Elaine Finley, Hartwell, Ellen Matthews, Lexington, Kathy Fowler, Helen Bannister and Linda Rudeseal, all of Royston.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 26, at 2 p.m., at the New Hope Worship Center with the Revs. Mike Spence, Patsy Hayes and Tim Peek officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will be placed at the church at 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. The family is at their respective homes.
